Product Description
Aluminum sulfate is a inorganic compound, white rhombic crystalline powder. In the paper industry, it can be used as the precipitator of rosin size, wax lotion and other sizing materials, as the flocculant in water treatment, as well as the retention agent of foam fire extinguishers, raw materials for manufacturing alum and aluminum white, as well as raw materials for oil decolorization, deodorant and some drugs.
The first major use of aluminum sulfate is for papermaking, accounting for approximately 50% of the total production. The second major use is as a flocculant in the treatment of drinking water, industrial water, and industrial wastewater, accounting for approximately 40% of the total production of aluminum sulfate.
Application
Water treatment : It's used for purification of drinking water and wastewater treatment
Paper industry : It helps in sizing of paper at neutral and alkaline pH, thus improving paper quality and sizing efficiency.
Textile Industry : It is used for color fixing in Naphthol based dyes for cotton fabri.
Other use: Leather tanning, lubricating compositions, fire retardants; Decolorizing Agent in petroleum,deodorizer; foodadditive; firming agent etc
