The consortium is designed to operate effectively in a wide range of environmental conditions. It can thrive in pH levels ranging from 5.0 to 9.5 and temperatures between 10°C to 45°C. Furthermore, it demonstrates resilience by tolerating salinity levels up to 3% and handling shock pollutant loads.
Not only does the Multi-Strain Consortium excel in reducing sludge volume by 30–40%, but it also effectively suppresses unpleasant odors such as H₂S and NH₃ by ≥90%.
