Aerobic Consortium for COD & BOD Removal

Developed with a combination of Lactobacillus and Acetobacter strains, this consortium relies on oxygen to hasten the breakdown of organic acids in urban wastewater. It can achieve over 85% reduction in Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) in just 24 hours by secreting extracellular proteases. It is designed to work seamlessly with Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) systems that operate at dissolved oxygen levels of 2 mg/L or higher.

The incorporation of biofilm carriers in this system serves to counteract sludge bulking, particularly in scenarios of high organic load, ensuring efficient and stable wastewater treatment processes.
