This multi-disk screw press squeezes municipal and industrial sludge to >70 % dehydration (cake ≤30 % moisture) in a single pass. An elongated 3-stage dewatering drum with 1:0.6 tapered shaft and 2 mm adjustable back-pressure plate generates 0.15 MPa compaction, while slow 1–2 rpm operation plus carbide-coated moving rings release extra water without clogging. Inline polymer dosing forms 3–5 mm dense flocs, enabling 30 % DS cake from 2–3 % feed at 0.12 kWh t⁻¹ DS, cutting disposal weight and cost 40 %. Fully enclosed, low-noise (<65 dB) and wash-water-free, the unit handles 1–60 m³ h⁻¹ in textile, dairy, pulp and mining WWTPs. VFD control, automatic ring rinse and remote PLC grant 99 % availability; modular frame allows twin-stack expansion.
