Enhancing Wastewater Purification with CPAM

Cationic Polyacrylamide (CPAM) is a copolymer composed of a cationic unit and a non-ionic unit of acrylamide. Its molecular chain has a positive charge group that can be ionized (- CONH2). It can be ionized into polycations and small anions in water. It can absorb and bridge with Particulates dispersed in the solution, and has a strong flocculation effect. Cationic polyacrylamide is suitable for specialized sludge dewatering equipment such as high-speed centrifuges, belt filter presses, plate and frame filter presses. Cationic polyacrylamide has the characteristics of fast formation of flocs, large flocs, resistance to compression and shear, and good agglomeration. Therefore, the dehydration efficiency of cationic polyacrylamide is high, the water content of treated sludge is low, and the dosage is small, which can greatly reduce user usage costs. It can also be used for separating and purifying suspended substances in liquids such as hydrochloric acid and medium concentration sulfuric acid.
