Causes of foam in natural gas exploitation
In the process of natural gas exploitation, foam is usually produced because natural gas contains carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide and other gases, which are dissolved in natural gas under high pressure. When natural gas is released to a lower pressure environment, these gases begin to form bubbles and may further aggregate into foam.
