Liquid Poly Aluminum Chloride (PAC) is an inorganic polymer coagulant widely utilized in water treatment and industrial processes. It has a chemical formula usually represented as [ Al 2 (OH) n Cl 6-n ] m , where n=1-5 and m≤10, creating a highly charged polymeric structure. PAC is derived from the partial hydrolysis of aluminum chloride, generating a solution abundant in hydroxyl and aluminum ions.
Compared to traditional coagulants such as alum ( Aluminum Sulfate ), liquid PAC provides superior efficiency, broader applicability, and environmental friendliness. Its liquid state eliminates the necessity for dissolution, facilitating quick mixing and immediate action in treatment processes.
Liquid PAC contains 10–12% Al 2 O 3 (aluminum oxide) with low impurities, ensuring consistent performance.
