Lamella Inclined Plate Clarifier (Tube Settler) – Efficient, Compact Sedimentation in One Box  

 

 

The Lamella Inclined Plate Clarifier—often called a tube settler—is a high-rate gravity separator that uses closely-spaced, 55–60° inclined plates or hexagonal tubes to multiply effective settling area while shrinking footprint to one-tenth of conventional basins. Raw water first enters a gentle mixing/flocculation zone where micro-flocs form; the flocculated stream then flows upward between the plates. Solids settle onto the inclined surfaces, slide down into a bottom sludge hopper and are periodically withdrawn, while clarified water exits through peripheral collection launders at the top.
