High-Capacity Precision Filter – Reliable Micro-Polishing for Mega-Flow Applications
The high-capacity precision filter houses long, large-diameter (6- to 6.5-inch / 152 mm) pleated cartridges in a horizontal or vertical SS/FRP vessel, delivering 30–500 m³ h⁻¹ of 0.2–100 µm clarified water in a footprint under 1 m². Pleated polypropylene, nylon or PTFE media provide 5–15 m² surface per element, achieving >99 % removal at ΔP < 0.08 MPa and 40–180 m³ h⁻¹ flow per housing. A threaded or spring-sealed core eliminates bypass; inside-to-outside flow traps contaminants inside cartridges for clean change-out. Differential-pressure transmitters trigger cartridge replacement at 0.15 MPa, extending on-stream life to 3–6 months. Models accept 4–36 elements and connect via DN100–DN500 flanges. Typical uses include RO pre-treatment, power-plant make-up, injection water, tertiary sewage reuse and food-grade process streams. Optional steam- or hot-water sanitizable cartridges meet FDA/USP standards. By offering micro-pollish efficiency at mega-flow rates, the high-capacity precision filter reduces vessel count 75 %, lowers labor and disposal volume, and secures continuous, low-cost protection for downstream membranes, ion-exchange or UV systems.
